A Car Cruise Wedding !!

This is a true story, I can verify that because I'm the one who made the plans. First off a little bit about us! When we first meet, Bill had 2 children and a foster child, Michael age 25 ,Jon age 24 and David age 17. He has his own business. My name is Patti, I have 3 children, Shaun age 16, Tifani age 11 and Randy age 10.
It all started back in March of 94'.
I had a phone call from a man that wanted his full interior redone in a 1962 Dodge Lancer! So I went to bid the job. I started the job in April, Bill and I sat and laughed and had a good time. By the time I was done with the job we were really great friends.
We sat and talked on the phone and laughed
about the word
"TIME" Everybody that we knew told us to take our time.
So we did! We went out on our first date on May 21, 1994. By May 31,1994, I moved in. Bill proposed to me in the garage on my birthday (June 13) and we talked about getting married in December. Well, we decided to have a Car Cruise wedding. So we threw out the December date and decided to get married on May 20, 1995.
We started to plan our wedding.
Considering it was going to be a car cruise wedding there wasn't really much to do. The first thing we did is made a flyer to pass out when we went to

different cruises and shows. I got my wedding dress (I mean wedding outfit).
This was going to be a blue jeans and T-shirt wedding. I made my bouquet and my bridal parties bouquets. I made my garter belt, the buttoniers and I fixed the pillow for the ring bearer. Now let me explain. My bouquet was the full distributor out of a car with the spark plug wires hanging down with flowers all over it. The bridesmaids bouquets were just the distrubitor cap

with a pushrod for the handle, they had one spark plug wire with flowers all over it! The garter belt was a fan belt with lace and flowers glued on it. The buttoniers were a flower with wire ties and a micromachine (little car) hanging from them. My ring bearer carried a die-cast pick up with a pillow in the back of the bed.
Well the time went quick, here it is the day we are getting married!
Hope everything turns out OK!
We left home to go to Cruisin' Diner to get every

thing set up! We had 75 cars show and family and friends. Put it this way we had people every where. While the door prises were being pulled , we picked 3 bridesmaids and they all got a Wedding Cruise T-Shirt. Then Judge Gary Caruso arrived and they yelled out
"Let The Wedding Begin ! "
I ran to get my surprise veil on. We had a hard time trying to put the veil on in a
( My Husband to be didn't know anything about the veil ! ) Everybody was impatient!

We walked down this little path of people to were the Judge was standing. He performed the ceremony and we were attached! We both pulled our
FALSE TEETH out for the photographiers! We did what we could to make this wedding as wild as possible.

Escorted by Perryopolis Police, we took
a cruise down 51 to 201 and came back. There
were 38 cars that came
with us on the cruise.
Now the reception starts!

The garter was first taken
off
with the help of my husbands teeth and he threw the garter and
my little brother caught it. Now it is my turn but I couldn't throw my bouquet, so I made a bouquet out of a wedding cruise T-Shirt. And I threw it.
The DJ's girlfriend caught it.Then we moved on to cut the cake. They then pulled off the

rest of the door prises and then gave out the trophies.
Since then, we have tried to take a Honeymoon and they just haven't worked. The first time we were headed to Albion, PA for a Mopar Car Show and The day before

we were going to leave our foster child wrecked our 94 Dodge Dakota Pickup, we left on Friday and we made it to Zelionople and our car broke down! So we came home. We have tried a few more times and again it never fails something always happens.
So we will wait until the kids all move out and We will try again!
We would like to
Thank everybody for participating!
The End
